Contemporary upscale New Build: Boston

2018

Set within an architecturally traditional, well-established neighborhood in Newton, Massachusetts, this project called for an unapologetically contemporary home that would still feel naturally at home in its surroundings. A floating steel-and-glass staircase establishes a sculptural first impression from the entry, carried throughout in flat-front cabinetry, leathered stone, custom millwork, and an oval kitchen island that softens the clean-lined design. Teal-lined shelving, botanical wall-covering, expressive art, and hand-finished surfaces bring moments of color , artistry, warmth, and elegance throughout. The result is contemporary in form yet deeply personal in expression, with a sense of character that feels confident and unmistakably individual.
